2021.12.08 12:07 zenvela Modify or build a nerf blaster for cat springs?
My cat's absolute favorite toy are springs (Google cat springs and they pop up), but she wants me to throw them for hours. I'd love to find a way to modify or build a blaster so that I can load several springs into it and sit down instead of chasing springs lol.
(And yes, I'm trying to teach her to fetch them back to me but cats, you know?)

2021.12.08 12:07 Ok-Drawing5997 Advice for post-HGE Papillion?
Hi, I'm interested in any advice for post HGE care for adult Papillion. We've had him for a year and a half (thanks to the Humane Society). I'm open to all advice that could apply since we didn't get a cause for his HGE. Like, do we need to sanitize stuff? Should we change his routine? Can we make him chicken and rice forever or should he be on dog food? Should we watch out for injury? I'm racking my brain because I don't want the sweetest dog in the world to get that sick again.

I’m over this position and my store and the leadership is awful. I’m done with either puking from nerves before going in or feeling like I’m gunna puke all day while I’m there. I have medical stuff that’s come up and I’m not able to do overtime like I was before - partly because my body is not able and partly because I have to make time for treatments. They are acting like I’m the worst person for saying that I cannot do more than 40 hours a week anymore even though that’s technically all I’m required to do. When I was leaving work the day before yesterday at my scheduled time I told my SD “hey SD it’s my time to go for the day. I feel bad cause OPU is a bit of a mess but..” and she just cut me off and said “yeah you should feel bad” and I’ve been stewing on that all day yesterday while I was off. There have been more incidents and comments made like that since I’ve stopped putting in so much extra time. That was just the most recent and the one that has bothered me the most. I’m done coming in and giving my best to people who fucking hate me for not selling me soul to this bullshit place. I’m ashamed to say I had almost drank the kool aid trying to convince myself that I could handle it and other people just can’t, but no. I see that this has nothing to do with not handling shit and everything to do with meaning absolutely nothing to the people you bust your ass for. I’m still going to put in my two weeks and do what I can for the remaining time for the team members but I can’t imagine staying any longer than that. Commiserating on this sub was about the only reason I used Reddit at all. I hope things are going better for you guys at other stores, but for those where it’s not I hope you can get out soon.

2021.12.08 12:07 BluCrayons Best off the beaten path places in NYC?
I know this is a very vague question but any cool off the beaten path places to checkout in NYC? (First time visiting!) My partner and I are coming up for a little vacation and are trying to add some cool unique things to do to our itinerary. We got all the standard tourist fair as well as a bunch of museums, but were wondering about hidden gems? We found some from a quick google but wanna make sure we don't miss something super cool! Some of our interests are art, books, coffee, nature/hiking/camping, fashion. Any places yall suggest?

2021.12.08 12:07 Sad-Aioli-9375 January classes
Is anybody able to see the class schedules for January yet? I’ve been trying to book a couple of weeks out because my studio is pretty busy but the first week of January is still grayed out for me in the app. I’m still pretty new to OTF so I wasn’t sure if this is normal.

2021.12.08 12:07 P_dibs VisVisVisitor AnAnAnouncementsss
Anyone know how to turn off visitor announcements to some but not all nest speakers? It's very jarring when 10 nest devices all announce a visitor, all slightly delayed from one another - hence the post title
Background, my doorbell transformer is buried somewhere in the basement so using the old chime is not possible at the minute.

2021.12.08 12:07 Name_To_Remember In Jersey City, what age (legally vs. customarily) for children to go out on streets without adult supervision?
I have been watching the Youtube Channel "Not Just Bikes" about city design and reading the book The Death and Life of Great American Cities by Jane Jacobs. Highly recommend both.
Now questions about our own city: how old is enough for a child to be on the streets without a parent/nanny/older sibling around? What's the legal age threshold, and what do people usually do? Does it vary by neighborhoods?
Personally, I have lived most of life in cities of other countries, where there are more bikes and pedestrians. Based on my experience, it was normal for a seven-year-old pupil to go to school/playground/friends' house alone.
